Terms & Conditions of Use

By accessing this website or booking services with Starlight Speech Pathology, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. General information
- Information on this website is for general purposes only and does not replace professional advice.
2. Services provided
- Starlight Speech Pathology provides paediatric speech pathology services in clinic, mobile, and via telehealth.
- Services may include assessment, therapy, training, strategy development, report writing, and liaison with other professionals.
- Availability of services may vary based on location and scheduling.
3. Appointments & cancellations
- A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for cancellations.
- Late cancellations or non-attendance will be charged the full session fee, in line with NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
4. Fees & payments
- Fees are charged in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (or private fee schedule where applicable).
- Travel costs (labour and non-labour) may apply for mobile sessions, in line with NDIS rules.
- Private clients: Payment is due on the day of service.
- NDIS plan-managed clients: Invoices will be sent to your plan manager.
- NDIS self-managed clients: Invoices must be paid within 2 days.
- Outstanding accounts may result in suspension of services.
5. Non-face-to-face services
- Non-face-to-face services (e.g., session planning, clinical note-taking, report writing, phone calls, liaison with schools) are charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
6. Responsibilities of families
Families agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their child and NDIS plan.
- Ensure a safe environment for mobile sessions (e.g., pets secured, no hazards, responsible adult present).
- Notify Starlight Speech Pathology of any changes to their child's NDIS plan or funding status.
7. Responsibilities of Starlight Speech Pathology
We agree to:
- Provide services with professionalism, safety, and respect.
- Maintain accurate records and protect your privacy.
- Communicate clearly and involve families in therapy planning.
- Comply with relevant legislation (NDIS Act 2013, Privacy Act 1988, Australian Consumer Law).
8. Risk & safety
- If a home or school environment is unsafe, the session may be stopped or rescheduled.
- Infection control and emergency procedures will always be followed.
9. Privacy & confidentiality
- Personal information will only be used for therapy purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Personal information collected via this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Information will not be disclosed without consent, unless required by law.
10. Feedback & complaints
- Families are encouraged to raise concerns directly with Starlight Speech Pathology via admin@starlightspeech.com.au or 0403 993 502.
- If unresolved, complaints can be lodged with the NDIS Commission (1800 035 544, www.ndiscommission.gov.au).
11. Intellectual property
- All content on this website (text, graphics, resources, logo) is the property of Starlight Speech Pathology and may not be reproduced without permission.
12. Changes to terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
