Our Funding

To access Medicare rebates for speech therapy sessions, please consult your General Practitioner (GP) to check if your child is eligible for a valid care plan. This may include:

• Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) — may allow your child up to 5 Medicare-rebated therapy sessions.
• Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) — children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder may be eligible for a referral from their paediatrician or psychiatrist for a Medicare-rebated assessment and up to 20 therapy sessions.

If your private health cover includes speech pathology, you may be able to claim a rebate for your child's assessment and/or therapy sessions.

The NDIS was established to support individuals with a range of disabilities by providing access to essential services such as speech therapy. Children and adults with developmental difficulties, disabilities, or a formal diagnosis may be eligible for NDIS-funded support. Starlight Speech Pathology accept NDIS clients with self-managed or plan-managed funding.
